Fowzia founded IDC in 2003 to give the Fargo–Moorhead immigrant and refugee community more than survival — a real path to ownership. Under her leadership the organization has become a trusted partner in economic opportunity, home to the International Market Plaza, multilingual services, and lending programs built for new Americans.

Siam leads the organization's communications strategy, storytelling, media relations, digital platforms, and community engagement efforts. In this role, Siam oversees IDC's public messaging and brand, manages communications across multiple programs and initiatives, supports donor and stakeholder engagement, and helps amplify the stories and impact of immigrant, refugee, and New American communities throughout the region. Siam brings several years of experience in communications, leadership, community engagement, and organizational administration. Before joining IDC, he served for four years as the Marketing and Belonging Commissioner for the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Commission at Concordia College and also served as Orientation Chair at Concordia College. In addition, Siam spent five years supporting the United World College National Committee of Bangladesh in administrative and organizational roles, contributing to student selection and leadership development initiatives. He is a proud Davis United World College Scholar and a graduate of Concordia College.
