ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING

You are in the right spot!

We, usually, offers one-on-one entrepreneur training by appointment only. We are working towards creating a Workshop series, and will share resources for you on our website soon. 

We’re excited to offer Entrepreneurship Training in partnership with Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State) Moorhead.

This program is made possible by a grant from Minnesota’s Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).

The curriculum includes the following topics:

  • Business Planning and Development
  • Financial Literacy
  • Legal Framework
  • Marketing and Sales
  • Operations Management
  • Risk Management
 

Course Details:

  • Length: 6 weeks
  • Class Time: Tuesday evenings, 6–9 PM
  • Student Workload: 3–4 hours of assignments per week
  • Next Session Start: February 2025
 

Eligibility requirements:

  1. New Americans, Foreign-born individuals, Immigrants, and BIPOC populations
  2. Resident in Clay County/Moorhead, MN area
  3. Must be eligible to work in the US
  4. Must pass required academic assessments (TABE)
  5. Must demonstrate interest/commitment to starting a business

Participation Requirements:

  1. Must complete initial assessment
  2. Must develop and sign Individual Business Plan with case manager
  3. Must commit to program attendance requirements
  4. Must be actively engaged in program activities
